"What makes an identity ours?"

Almost Jewish follows filmmaker Jason Sherman as a question about his own Jewish identity opens into a funny, personal investigation of heritage, belief, family, culture, and belonging. Approaching 50, Sherman decides to look more closely at something he thought he understood — and the answer gets complicated.

The film approaches those questions with curiosity, skepticism, humor, and an open mind. Currently in development and pre-production, the documentary is following the story wherever it actually leads. No predetermined ending. No easy answer.
